We are all busy, we all have families, jobs and other commitments. However, it is always a good time when we make time for Alpha Phi!
- Are you interested in being on our Heart Walk team - September 20. 2008?
- Would you like to host an event? Do you have an idea for something fun we could go do?
- Do you have a great idea for a service project? What kinds of things do you want to attend?
- How about happy hour with sisters that live in Indy from your collegiate chapter?
- We want to hear from you! When and Where is best for you to meet?
If you would like to plan an event, host an event or serve on a committee for 08/09 please contact Megan boilermeg@gmail.com or Shelli fancyphi@aol.com.
Dear sisters,
Alpha Phi was pretty much a staple of life in our collegiate years. Now that we are out of college our priorities have changed, our lives are different. We have families, a career, and other commitments. We just hope that this list below reminds you that Alpha Phi is always here for you whatever the season or the reason.
Reason #5 – I don’t know anyone at the events.
Our reply: Neither did we at our first event, but we developed new friendships. We would love to get to know you! You are sure to find at least one person you click with or network with at each event. Always feel welcome to bring a friend or your mom!
Reason #4 – I went to an event once, and it wasn’t what I expected.
Our reply: Give it another chance! No two events are alike. We are still growing and learning as a group. We welcome you to help us with ideas to make things better!
Reason #3 – I was involved in college – but I do not have time to be involved again.
Our reply: This is the best part of alumnae membership! Be involved as time permits! Just show up to events that interest you and pay your $20 dues to support the chapter. (International dues are separate.) That is it! Of course we do have volunteer opportunities if you are interested in being more active. If you have a special interest or talent, please do share!
Reason #2 – I am not familiar with the area that the event is being held.
Our reply: Come explore Indy! This is the best way to get to know the city. Mapquest.com is always a good reference or call the hostess for directions. If you get turned around, or if you are running late, please still come!
Reason #1 – The event asks you to bring something, and I do not have time to do this.
Our reply: Don’t bring anything but yourself then! You are more important than a dish to pass, cookies to exchange or an auction item! We want you! We always have enough food and drink - we are Alpha Phis! Life happens, just get yourself there!
We encourage you to find the time to reconnect in the spirit of sisterhood! We look forward to meeting you this year!
Loyally,
Megan & Shelli
I encourage you to get involved with your local alumnae chapter! Pick an event, mark your calendar, bring a friend, volunteer and make this a fantastic year! Enjoy the Alpha Phi alumnae experience!

Becoming an Alpha Phi alumnae is a great experience. It provides you with lifelong opportunities of friendship, sisterhood, community service, and numerous activites. As long as you were not a member of another Panhellenic sorority in college, you can become an Alumnae Initiate!
Join us at one of our events and tell us about yourself. This is a great way to meet women in the Indianapolis area and become involved in the community.
